Dr. Hogan joined the faculty of West Texas A&M University in 2011 as assistant professor of economics in the Department of Accounting, Economics, and Finance. He earned his Ph.D. in economics from George Mason University where he studied money and banking. He also holds bachelors and masters degrees in business administration from the University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Hogan has worked for Merrill Lynch's commodity trading group and as a derivatives trader for hedge funds in the U.S. and Europe. He was a research fellow at the Cato Institute and the American Institute for Economic Research and is a former consultant to the World Bank.
