Dr. Huntington joined the College of Business in 2017. She received a B.S. in Journalism from State University of New York (SUNY) College at Brockport in 2006, an M.S. in Communication and Media Technologies from Rochester Institute of Technology in 2011 and a Ph.D. in Public Communication and Technology from Colorado State University in 2017. Dr. Huntington teaches courses such as Business Communication and Emerging Media in Advertising. She is a member of the Association for Internet Researchers and the National Communication Association, among others. Dr. Huntington serves as a faculty adviser for the Media Minds student group in the College of Business. Dr. Huntington’s research interests center on effects of new, emerging, and participatory media, including visual communication, especially as it pertains to opinion formation and participation. Dr. Huntington’s research has been published in the journal Communication Studies, and has been presented at a number of regional, national, and international conferences, including the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication and the Conference on Communication and the Environment.
