Dr. Emily Hammer earned her Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction with an Emphasis in the study of business. She holds an MBA and an SPHR from HRCI. Dr. Hammer is a current member of both the Panhandle Human Resources Association member and Society of Human Resource Management. As a Clinical Assistant Professor with the Paul & Virginia Engler College of Business, her teaching specializes in compensation, human resource management, and international human resource management. Her favorite part of her job is teaching students about the intricacies of human resource management. Dr. Hammer has two children under the age of 4, three dogs, and a husband who owns his own business in counseling those battling chemical dependency. As a West Texas Native, she is grateful to be back home and working in the community that has had such a strong influence over everything she does. In Dr. Hammer’s spare time, she does HR consulting in the Amarillo community.
